Come join a solidarity project by the sea!
Our partner, TCAP21, wants to organize an international workcamp in 2025 focused on developing the garden of their association. The goal is to build pergolas and wooden huts to provide an outdoor workspace for young adults. You will be joined by 5 young adults who benefit from the support of TCAP21.
Your mission: restore the existing pergola (sanding and treatment), build a new pergola featuring a stage, create a workshop, do various masonry repairs.

You will sleep in the old SNCF train station building, in a completely renovated common room with new bunk beds, showers, toilets, and a shared kitchen.
You will share various collective tasks and prepare meals together (either in the summer kitchen with outdoor facilities or in the restaurant's indoor kitchen). A budget will be allocated to the facilitators, and you will participate in grocery shopping and meal preparation, focusing on healthy, local products and vegetarian meals.

Niolon is a residential calanque (typical creeks in Marseille), located in the municipality of Le Rove, about 20 km northwest of Marseille.
It is a charming coastal village with traditional houses and small huts, featuring a tiny beach. It also has a picturesque port and offers stunning views of the Marseille harbor and Frioul islands.
You can go hiking in the southern calanques (true gems of the region), snorkeling (for the very brave), explore Marseille, or take part in activities offered by the TCAP21 association.
Rest assured, you will never be bored, and you'll meet plenty of interesting people!

TCAP21 is an association founded by a group of parents whose children, young adults, have Down syndrome. The association organizes performances, sports training (some young people even participated in national rowing competitions!), flamenco dance training, sewing, music, cooking, catering, and hospitality workshops, etc. The association is based in the old SNCF train station in Niolon, which they have fully renovated. Their primary goal is to allow people with Down syndrome to live in an inclusive environment (mixing people with and without disabilities) to promote their social integration as much as possible!

If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
