For years, the Jump association has been promoting activities in the area to give the small community a broader scope. The Camp aims to encourage a virtuous exchange between the local population and an international audience, combining the strength of volunteering with moments of cultural exchange, and personal growth. The camp will organize In collaboration with the Monastero of Santa Filippa, that was rebuilt in the new village after the 1940 when was submerged by the waters. This is the place that tells the story of the Borgo and is therefore one of the most iconic places in the small community. By joining this workcamp you will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals: SustainableCommunities-SDG11
WORK: Volunteers will involved in 2 different activities to support Jump association in the beach of the lake and to renovate a part of the Monastero of Santa Filippa. At the Convent, tasks include maintenance, cleaning, painting, and restoring the botanical garden. At Jump, volunteers will assist with kayak and SUP rentals, and lead gentle gym classes like Yoga, Pilates, and Aqua-Gym. The work schedule is six hours a day, six days a week, with a day off on Tuesday.

Volunteers will accommodated in a repurposed former school, featuring a single large shared dormitory for men and women, equipped with bunk beds. The place is equipped with all facilities. A fully equipped kitchen is available, allowing volunteers to prepare their own meals. Local ingredients will be accessible to accommodate various dietary preferences, including omnivorous, vegan, vegetarian, and food intolerance-friendly options.

Borgo San Pietro is a hamlet of the small town of Petrella Salto and overlooks the artificial Lake Salto. It rises among the Cicolano mountains on the shores of Salto Lake. It is 29 km from Rieti and 4 km from its municipal capital Petrella Salto. The village originally stood in a valley now submerged by the basin of Lake Salto, created in 1940 with the construction of a massive artificial dam. The Borgo was then rebuilt on the shores of the lake. Valle del Salto is a rural community that lives on agricultural and cultural traditions, with a strong connection with nature and a growing interest in sustainable tourism. Social life in the valley is very linked to the community, with food and wine celebrations and musical events that encourage integration among residents, particularly in the month of August.

Jump Asd Aps is a sports and social promotion Association that operates in the Valle del Salto area in the province of Rieti. The association promotes responsible tourism in the area and inclusive sport by organising events promoting sport for all. During the summer it runs a bathing establishment where it organises various activities to promote the area.

This project is supported by the European Solidarity Corps. Food and accommodation are covered by the European Union. Transportation costs will be refunded according to the distance band rules of the programme. No fees are required. The workcamps are open for international volunteers (coming from EU ESC countries projects).
