During this workcamp, you'll contribute to the construction and installation of collective com-post bins. The work will involve laying out the space, assembling the compost bins using re-cycled materials, installing a ventilation system, and defining composting rules. You'll also take part in collecting the first organic waste to start composting. It's a great opportunity to make a concrete commitment to the environment! 25h/week

The workcamp will take place in a particularly isolated area, where you will be accommodat-ed on the REV site in a collective tent (remember to bring your sleeping bag). You will have access to sanitary facilities close to the camp. What's more, if weather conditions deteriorate too much for camping, we'll set up a permanent camp for the duration of the bad weather. Meals will be provided by the REV and cooked in turn by the participants.

The workcamp will take place on the REV's permanent site, a former vacation camp at an altitude of 1,200m. The site is located at the foot of Mont-Lozère (department 48) in the heart of the Cévennes. The REV took over the site in the spring of 2022 and hopes to turn it into a place of welcome, exchange and encounter. This project will be part of the transformation of the colony into a socio-cultural living space. Shaped by erosion, this territory is criss-crossed by several watercourses, geological formations such as the causes and numerous forests of many species. A wide variety of flora and fauna have been preserved here thanks to the low human density of recent centuries. The nearest town is Mende, with 16,000 inhabitants.

Far from the French metropolises, Lozère is nonetheless a very dynamic region. The region's activities revolve around local festivities, concerts and unspoilt natural areas (mountains, riv-ers, forests).

Join us for an ecological and convivial project: together, we're going to create collective com-post bins! You'll help assemble the composts, organize the spaces and set up the first com-posting rules. It's an opportunity to help reduce waste and improve the association's local en-vironment. You'll be involved in all the practical stages, from building composts to launching them, while learning the basics of composting and actively contributing to an ecological pro-ject.
