The activities will take place in Maribo, Sakskøbing, and Nakskov, so during the stay, you will visit different parts of Lolland. We get to know each other and to Work Camp activities at a Glamping site. We will go there by car for approximately 20 minutes. Here activity examples are: Building outdoor furniture, making videos, setting up tents, helping with practical tasks, making breakfast, and more. During the week, you will be helping with logistics and promotion. You will attend the concerts and help with taking pictures, distributing t-shirts, carrying instruments, and driving a bus (if you have an EU driver's license). Accommodation:
The volunteers will be hosted at two different places. First at Naturlig På Korsgården - a Glamping site 15 kilometers from Maribo with beautiful lakes and outdoor activities (check https://naturligpaakorsgaarden.dk). Then for the rest of the work camp the volunteers will be hosted at a hostel located in Maribo, the town where the majority of the activities will take place.

If you do not wish to share rooms with the rest of the Work Camp volunteers of different genders, then let us know and we will find a solution. If you are going with someone you know, and you are okay to share a double bed please let us know. The hostel is located within walking distance of the Music School from which will be one of the meeting points.

Food:
At the hostel, there is a common room with kitchen facilities, where you can prepare your meals or just relax. The host will purchase your groceries. At the glamping site, there is the option to make food on fire with all the equipment you’ll need. On some days lunch and dinner may also be provided.

Bathroom Facilities:
There will be bathroom and shower facilities at the hostel. You will have to bring linen and bed covers, and the hostel will provide the rest.
It will be possible to wash your clothes at the hostel for a small charge. You can also buy the linen and bed covers if you don’t want to bring them.

Maribo is a small town in the center of Lolland, known for its lakes, where you can go for walks or go kayaking.
Currently, Lolland hosts the construction site of the Femern Belt Tunnel, which is a huge project worth visiting. It is also worth visiting the smaller islands on the coast of Lolland or some of the beautiful nature parks or historic towns. Your Work Camp coordinators or contact person will help you and the group with organizing activities in your spare time. It is free to enjoy the beautiful nature of Lolland, but some activities might require an extra charge. The host will not cover additional charges.

The main hosting organization for this Work Camp is the Youth Council of Lolland municipality. The Council will be hosting the Work Camp together with The Golden Banana (organizing music events for young people) and Lolland Music School.

During the Work Camp, two main events will take place, and you will get a chance to be a part of it all

The first will be a big local Fruit Festival. We will be attending with a bicycle that can be turned into a stage (see veloconcerts.com) and doing different activities and promotions for the local youth community.

Lolland Music School will host Nærvær (means being present) events during the week in which you can participate. You may also participate in promotional activities of the Nærvær Festival, which takes place on the 24th.

Nærvær Youth Festival will take place in Nakskov with the national radio station and lots of young people attending... The topic is what makes young people happy, there will be concerts, activities, and a final party.

To participate in this Work Camp, we require you to provide:
- A motivational letter. You must include any skills you would like to contribute with. We do our very best to match you with activities that you like and the work camp is very diverse.

For security reasons, we can unfortunately not have volunteers with hearing or sight disabilities. For other physical disabilities, it depends on whether the volunteer is okay with different schedules and changes.

English will be the only language spoken. All participants must be willing to speak English, even though being from the same country or have trouble with the English language. Try your best!

We will advise you to bring warm clothes that are fit for outdoor work and might get dirty. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather, so it is a good idea to bring rain clothes too.

Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
