ACTIVITIES: The volunteers will be sharing the activities with the boys and girls of the home. For the most part, when carried out during the holiday period, they will be activities that are aimed at motivating children's creativity, through art workshops (music, crafts, drawing, singing), reading comprehension, English, cooking workshops and/or recreational recreational activities that promote motor skills, values and learning in our children. So all proposals are more than welcome.
Cultural immersion activities
• City tour. Our first day to live with the rest of the group.
• Visit to the city's viewpoints
• Tasting of Pox, one of the most emblematic drinks of the region.
• Visit to the San Juan Chamula church. Surreal and eccentric, one of the few churches that still
exist in Mexico.
• Storytime. Learn about local culture through indigenous stories and legends.
• Local cooking workshop
• Social route
• And many more activities that will allow you to get to know the culture of our state.
• We will visit an indigenous community to witness the celebration of the Day of the Death.
*Activities depend on the dates of each camp.

San Cristóbal de las Casas Chiapas, is a city located 46 km along the Tuxtla Gutiérrez highway. San Cristóbal de las Casas is a city in the upper area of the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico. It is known for its well-preserved colonial architecture, such as the centuries-old yellow San Cristóbal Cathedral located in Central Park. The Los Altos Museum, in the former baroque Santo Domingo de Guzmán convent, has exhibits on weaving and regional history. Outside the building there is a market where colorful fabrics and other crafts are sold

The Casa Hogar takes place in the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas and occupies a space that was built to be a hotel, however, due to external circumstances the opportunity was not given, so it now houses a home for children in need. street Children have been separated from their family due to some type of abuse, they have been orphaned or because at their age or some particular trait - some disability, for example - they have not found an adoptive family.
The Casa Hogar has been in business for almost 8 years and its main objective is to give the love and support that every child needs in their growth through educational, emotional and physical care, that is, so that they can find a family in the Casa Hogar. Therefore, they are currently cared for by two people who take care of the center. Currently, 14 children are cared for, whose ages range from 5 to 20 years old.

PARTICIPATION FEE: $4,390.00 MXN, includes lodging, breakfast, local transportation and camp administration.
Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
Let op: naast het inschrijfgeld betaal je ter plekke nog een lokale bijdrage van $ 4.390. (Ca. € 208)
