We will have about 20 children (aged 11-14) in the camp who will work in groups with volunteers to accomplish the following:
● Facilitate a cultural exchange between volunteers and local kids in the village.
● Organize different games for children, both fun and educational.
● Do some small community work together with children
● Organize a group trip to the nearby mountains and/or a camping evening.

The volunteers will be accommodated in a tent and campervan. Please bring your own sleeping bag, we shall provide mattresses. You will likely need it for camping as well. Volunteers may have to prepare their own breakfast, there is a summer kitchen available for this purpose. Lunch is to be served together with kids. Showers and toilets in a container.

Homoraciu is a village situated in a hilly area about 100 km north from Bucharest.

We are running our first such project after a similar one in a nearby village.
Asocoatia Vietii (Life Association) is a young NGO who is organizing a number of rural life events from concerts, fairs, traditional craft preserving workshops as well as youth programs. With this project the association plans to offer a holiday highlight for some children in the village, some of them finding difficult to reach other forms of entertainment such as travel or access to organized summer activities. During this project we will organize day activities (games, treasure-hunt, sports), will make a trip to the nearby mountains and a camping night.

Volunteers should be interested in working with children before all and willing to do so in harmony in a group of people they do not know yet.

● Smoking and alcohol drinking will be possible only after finishing the program with children.
● During the first day we shall plan activities for the coming days, and each evening we finalize plans for the following day. Depending on availability, we plan to get volunteers involved in an exchange of ideas and crafting the program prior to arriving at the spot.
● Activities with children will be from 10am to 4-5pm every day except trip and/or camping days.
● For those interested, there are also a few places the volunteers can visit if inclined, such as the salt mine and horseback riding in a nearby village. These can be arranged after finishing the day's activities with the kids.
● Also, because we are working with kids we also need a copy of a recent criminal record.
Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
