The volunteers will organize morning recreation (30 minutes), be with students at breakfast, lunch, and dinner (take care that the group which is responsible for cleaning the tables does that after the meal), prepare one English lesson (90 minutes) in the morning and another in the afternoon (90 minutes) each day, organize some activities (sports, swimming, different competitions), organize evening program (singing songs around the fire, karaoke, interesting meaningful conversations).

All the participants and volunteers will sleep in tents. Volunteers can share their tents with another volunteer or they will have their own tent. All the tents are provided by the organizer. In every tent, there are a wooden surface and a mattress. Participants need their own warm sleeping bag and a pillow.

Bohinj is situated in the northwest part of Slovenia, within the Triglav National Park. It encompasses Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, as well as surrounding mountains, valleys, and forests.
Lake Bohinj is the centerpiece of the region. It offers crystal-clear waters surrounded by towering peaks, making it a popular destination for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing during the warmer months.
In addition to water sports on Lake Bohinj, visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, in the surrounding mountains and valleys.

We want to enable young people to spend their summer holidays at an English camp, next to the lake and the forest. They will have the opportunity to speak all day only English, to practice what they have learned at school and to put it into practice. They will also socialize without mobile devices which is in our society very difficult nowadays. We want to encourage them to be creative and active, to feel nature and themselves.

We are looking for volunteers with experience working with 10-15 year olds, who are responsible, creative, outdoorsy, and able to organize a variety of camp activities and teach English using communicative methods. A minimum of B2 English is required. Preference is given to native English speakers or those with an easy-to-understand accent. Personality and work ethic are paramount.

For VISA, we can provide an acceptance letter if needed.
The volunteer has to send us a certificate from crime records from their country.
The volunteers will arrive on the 7th of July, one day before the start of the camp to familiarise themselves with the place and their tasks.
The volunteers will need to coordinate three different groups (not simultaneously) throughout the duration of the camp:
1) 8th-12th of July kids 10-14 years old
2) 12th - 14th of July adults and or families who want to learn English
3) 15th - 19th of July kids 10-14 years old

IMPORTANT! Volunteers from partner organizations need to pay a €50 fee.
Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
