The main task will be self-building tasks: Depending on how much the group of volunteers will advance, we will do any of these tasks:
1) plastering walls with lime mortar
2) rebuilding dry stone walls
3) garden work
4) Naturalization of the pond
5) painting, processing of surplus vegetables and woodwork.
Don't worry if you do not know how to do this tasks, the group will be followed and supported by specialized people with experience and knowledge that will train on how to do them.

The volunteers will have access to a kitchen, toilet and two solar showers. The accommodation is planned to be in mattresses inside the old windmill, it is a cool space during the summer, but there is also the option of sleeping in tents in the camping site.

Can Parera contributes to social transformation through a living a model of community coexistence and to promoting productive projects linked to the primary sector and give spaces for projects linked to sustainability and social commitment. Can Parera is inhabited by the cooperative since 2021. Currently, there are 13 adults and 7 children living in the community. The community life proposes a change of living not based on the nuclear family, there are community spaces for all. The house, food and care are shared transversally.

IMPORTANT Additional Fee: In 2025 many SCI workcamps will have an additional fee of €50.00 (ONLY FOR PARTNERS AND CONTACTS)
If you apply through an SCI branch the fee will be included in the fee you pay to your sending branch. If you apply through a partner organisation you will have to pay the fee on arrival at the project; direct to the hosting branch or through different payment platforms. When accepted on the project we will give you more details of the various payment options.
