The East-West camp is a social camp that the Gönüllü Hizmetler Derneği has been running with young people since 2008. The main purpose of the camp is to bring volunteers together with young people who has limited socio-economic opportunities. In this context, volunteers from Türkiye and internationally who will participate in the camp will be a part of camp organization team.

Accommodation will be provided in buildings in the camp area, with separate rooms for female and male volunteers. 3 meals a day will be provided to volunteers by the camp area.

The camp will be held in Antalya Youth Camp and Education Center. Antalya is the most touristic location in Türkiye and one of the warmest cities. Volunteers will not have the opportunity to make an independent program during the camp, but they can make individual trip/holiday programs in Antalya (or near locations) before or after the camp.

Antalya Municipality will be host for this camp. The youth camp area built by the municipality for young people will be used by volunteers.

The acceptance phase is a 2-step process. As a first step, CVs and motivation letters will be requested from volunteers and as a second step volunteers will be interviewed via Zoom / Google Meet. Non formal education or group leading experience is preferred. As the level of English of the camp participants will be very low, the volunteers / counsellors should be talkative, encouraging, communicative, patient, talented and ready to teach.
Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
