The focus of the project is to create vibrant floral oases for people of all ages and backgrounds, offering a glimpse of what the garden show will entail. The Bavarian State Garden brings life to the city by adding green spaces where people can relax, improving their quality of life. During the Workcamp:
- Green oasis for the old town: Between the old town and the new development area lies an almost forgotten moat. We want to transform it into a small, colourful community garden - with raised beds for everyone who doesn't have their own garden. An old pavilion will also be refurbished, including a terrace, new paths and a fence.
- Fresh coat of paint: The shelter on the traffic training area urgently needs new paint - we're making it inviting and beautiful again!
- Shine for the spa grounds: In preparation for the 2027 State Garden Show, the thermal water borehole building at the “Franken-Therme” is to be given a fresh look; we will repair it, paint it and make it pretty.

You will stay at the European School Hostel. The European School Hostel only hosts students and school classes. There is the main building with a big dining hall and shared rooms with two more buildings also with shared rooms available. All are equipped with sanitary facilities (toilets and showers). The main building also has an area where the group can relax and spend time
together.
Meals will be taken in the dining hall, with other school groups, which means the group will not have to cook. Please be aware that you will be in contact with more than 60 children or teenagers every day! However, how much you interact with them in your free-time is up to you. For your free time you will find perfect conditions on site: football, table tennis, billiard and plenty of outdoor activities like campfire, basketball, football and handball.

Bad Windsheim is a town 50 km away from Nuremberg in Franconia, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The city itself has a beautiful old town with many cafés, an open air museum and a swimming pool which you can use for free. The area is well known for cycling, hiking and other outdoor activities like mini golf. In your free time you can also make excursions to bigger cities nearby like Würzburg or Nuremberg! As you will stay in European School Hostel, there will be many options to do some activities with the local youth like playing darts or billiards, use the outdoor sportsgrounds or barbecue area.

In the historic old town of Bad Windsheim lies a hidden gem: an old city moat that is just waiting to be kissed awake! In our work camp, we want to transform this special place into a lively community garden together with you, with raised beds that make you want to garden, cozy paths and a pavilion that invites you to linger again after a loving renovation. The result is a new meeting place for everyone who lives in the old town and doesn't have their own garden. But that's not all: There are also beautiful things to do in other corners of the city! A shelter on the traffic training area is being given a fresh, inviting look thanks to creative painting activities. And with a view to the 2027 State Garden Show, we are sprucing up a building near the “Franken Therme” - with paint, tools and lots of team spirit.
Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
